Happy Pancake Day! Pancake Day is a great time of year to try something new with your pancakes, but if you are on KSFL you may be wondering “what am I allowed?”
Well here are some KSFL friendly pancake recipes for you to use too along with some delicious topping ideas!
TOPPING IDEAS
Savoury pancakes
Scrambled eggs and bacon
Simply scramble 1 egg and fry 1 rasher of bacon in Kick Start coconut oil
Chicken and Bacon
Fry 1 breast of chicken and 1 rasher of bacon in Kick Start coconut oil
Ham and spinach
Get some organic cooked sliced ham and a handful of spinach, sprinkle with feta cheese
Tomato and mushroom
Lightly fry 1 handful of tomatoes and mushrooms
Sweet pancakes
Almond butter and banana
1 small banana, 2 tablespoons almond butter, cinnamon
Mixed berries
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon protein powder, 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries, thawed, 1 cup fresh mixed berries
Classic lemon/ orange
Just simply squeeze over 1/2 lemon/ 1/2 orange
Apple and Cinnamon
1 apple, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
Creamy chocolate delight
1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced, 1 tablespoon raw cacao, 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt, almond milk (if needed), pinch of salt, pinch of cinnamon, and sweetener of choice, chocolate chips or cocoa nibs- mix all together.
