The water content of most fruits exceeds 80 percent, so it’s also a delicious and healthy way to stay hydrated in the hot Summer weather!
Here’s a list of our favourite Summer fruits:
Blueberries
Blueberries are so versatile, pop on the top of your morning oats or have them as a snack on their own- they are packed with anti oxidants and vitamin c.
Pineapple
This tropical fruit is fantastic in salads, as a snack or our favourite as a grilled topping on turkey/gammon!
It has a good portion of vitamin c, manganese and b vitamins too!
Tart Cherries
Cherries are another fantastic one to top your morning oats with and packed with anti oxidants and vitamins!
Watermelon
Watermelon is so delicious on a hot day and so hydrating as it consists of more than 90 percent water!
Watermelon also contains an amino acid known as citrulline which can improve blood flow and decrease muscular fatigue and soreness!
